Did you know black women have TWO to THREE TIMES the infant death mortality rates as our white counterparts?

Black men* have a 70% higher risk and Black women have a 50% greater risk of developing heart failure than White men and women.
*Between the ages of 45 and 64.
Yet most events catering to Melanated communities are filled with foods and habits that fuel these statistics.
LET'S CHANGE THIS NARRATIVE.
Our mission of Melanin Natural Expo is to bring plant based, healthy eating, natural & organic living to the Melanated (African American, Indigenous, Black, Brown) community. This event also helps circulate money in our community by highlighting local Melanated entrepreneurs. We are learning about the benefits of breastfeeding, baby wearing, cloth diapering, and natural medicine actively working to address the health and birth statistics in our community.
This is an all inclusive event; everyone is welcome.
